Robin Brannon, 29, comes from
Borger, Texas and has an extensive background in music,
specifically percussion. He majored in Percussion
Performance at West Texas A&M and taught private
percussion lessons for 10 years and drum line for 9
years.
A former member of the Blue Knights Drum and
Bugle Corps in Denver, Colorado, the Amarillo Symphony
Orchestra, and the Amarillo Jazz Orchestra, he was also
named the 1998 World Champion Timpanist for Drum Corps
International. If that doesn’t make him qualified to do
vocal percussion for Acappella, nothing will!
Robin
excels not only as a percussionist, but as a singer as
well. In college he sang with the choir for four years,
a male quartet called Fidelity, and a mixed group called
His Harmony. He has also been a performer in Texas,
an outdoor musical in Canyon, Texas, and a four-year
director of youth choruses at Leadership Training for
Christ.
Robin’s favorite scripture is Romans 15:13.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as
you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by
the power of the Holy Spirit.”
