Allen Brantley, 22, is from Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Oklahoma Christian University where he majored in music and was a member of the OC Chorale and the a cappella group New Reign. The newest member of the group, his booming bass voice adds the distinct rumble Acappella fans have come to know and love.

Allen’s musical talents were spotted early when he joined his church praise team in the seventh grade. Not only a talented singer, Allen also plays the piano and the tuba. As a member of his high school marching band he performed in the Hollywood Christmas Parade, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Edinburgh Easter Festival in Scotland.

Before joining Acappella, Allen once worked as a horse wrangler. A true cowboy, Allen gave riding lessons, trained horses and even learned to rope and ride bulls.

Did we mention that Allen married the beautiful and oh so talented Kimberly Lancaster last Spring? A stunning ceremony high atop a mountain in Northern Alabama was attended by the families. Some of us are feeling real old about now realizing that Kim has, indeed, grown up.

Allen’s favorite scripture is Romans 8:38. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
