Raymond Mobley did his first Acappella concert as a fill-in on less than 12 hours notice. Now Raymond is settled in as Acappella’s high tenor, bringing a distinctive voice, energy, and heart for ministry to the role.
A 2008 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in family studies, Raymond made his mark at OC as a two-time Spring Sing host and as a member of Summer Singers and New Reign.
In 2007, he appeared on national television as one of the lead vocalists in Blake Shelton’s choir on NBC’s “Clash of the Choirs.” In 2008, he was a top-10 finalist in the Contemporary Music category of America’s Best New Talent competition.
Raymond has lived out his passion for helping others as a worship leader and in jobs at a local nursing homes and at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. He is currently enrolled in medical school at the University of Oklahoma.
Raymond hails from Midwest City, Oklahoma, and currently lives in Edmond, Oklahoma. He and his wife, Kendra, have a young son, Ashton.
Raymond’s favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 9:19. ”Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.”
