The very first bi-lingual Praise & Harmony Workshop was conducted the weekend of September 16-18 in Miami, Florida at the Sunset Church of Christ.

This vibrant and growing congregation membership is approximately 50% English speaking and 50% Spanish speaking. This made it an ideal place to launch our first bi-lingual interactive experience.

Carlos Carbajal, one of the ministers, preached the message on Sunday in both English and Spanish. Carlos is a visionary who possesses an infectious passion for preaching the Gospel and helping the church grow. Keith led an intense discussion with all the church leaders on Friday night, which already reaped noticeable improvements and results by the very first Sunday service.
Two Workshops in One Day

Two workshops took place on Saturday, with one in English and one in Spanish. Fabio Quintero (pictured above), led the Spanish singing while Keith led the English in bi-lingual arrangements of the new and old hymns — P&H arrangements interlaced with both languages seamlessly, based upon each unique song. Carlos was so impressed by the assembly that he expressed the opinion that it was their best Sunday ever!
This encouraging experience has ignited a desire to see this type of activity, unity and intense training in harmony singing continue. Although Spanish Christians are not as accustomed to singing in four-part harmony, they were quickly learning the arrangements and singing beautiful, four-part acappella style as never before.

We pray for more opportunities to equip God’s people to sing in harmony, regardless of language; and more importantly, to encourage unity among believers!
